The Sunny Side Of Life Poem by Cheryl Lynn Moyer Peele

The Sunny Side Of Life

Rating: 5.0

Our light producing,
heat giving, ever shining
center of our universe
does not require being
dug out of the ground,
protection from radiation
emissions, controlled growth
of corn or seaweed
or even the wind blowing
in the right direction to
provide equally distributed,
communally owned, tax-free,
solar-operated everything.

Cheryl, That is a great idea, certainly a worthy goal, but, explain to me ... HOW that will get you down the highway tomorrow morning? ... Let's head in that direction though! B.V.A.

Factual and timely sentiment, now that solar power has returned to the white house for the first time since the Carter administration. Reactivating the solar panels that have sat dormant on my father's house for years, too. Guess we had to use up all the oil first. Between the sun and the wind, we could live entirely fossil-fuel free and do just fine, but then what would oil and coal barons and third world despots lord over us? Appropriate imagery lends a lyrical quality to a highly rhetorical, fact-laden poem, touching the senses and educating painlessly at the same time. Nice work.

If only...I love that you're an intelligent woman - and proud to project that fact. Bravo. This is a hardcore truth presented beautifully, IMO.
